Respect My Authority

We took the weekend after Christmas to go to Richboro. Kev took Monday off so we were able to stay and play an extra day.

Sabrina and Stevie were excited to see Grandmom and Pop-pop. They were also delighted with the special Sesame Street play set that their grandparents had gotten them.

This set is great. Sabrina was getting crabby at one point, so we reprised a game we play at home where a toy falls from the top of something and screams "OH NO!" ala Mr. Bill. Cracks her up every time. Here she is barely breathing she is laughing so hard. I don't know who's stranger, Sabrina for thinking it's so funny, or me for instituting the game in the first place.

The kids had fun giving Pop-pop a check-up. Sabrina warned him the shot would hurt, but he bore up well.

Sabrina's kind bed-side manner was missing later in the day when she and Pop-pop were playing together in the basement. Apparently the train/tunnel is for kids only. Pop-pop was not allowed in. Pop-pop tried to go in anyway and was bodily removed by our three year old. Again, he bore it well.

Kev's Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Jerry stopped by with Hanukkah presents for the kids--a giant princess coloring book and Candy Land for Sabrina and a ride-on Rocket (from Little Einsteins) for Stevie. The were all hits!

Sabrina and Stephen loved all of the personal attention and play-time they got over the weekend. We are all very lucky that they have such special relationships with their grandparents and extended family.

Kev and I are especially thankful to his parents for two nights of baby-sitting that allowed us to go out to Budakkan (anniversary dinner, finally) and to the movies (Sherlock Holmes was fun).
